Carolina Mustard Sauce is a tangy and slightly spicy delight that pairs perfectly with pork and chicken. This vibrant yellow sauce is a staple in South Carolina BBQ, known for its sharp mustard flavor balanced by a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Yellow Mustard
- 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Hot Sauce (Optional)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, honey, and brown sugar. Whisk until smooth.
Add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Whisk until all ingredients are well incorporated. Transfer the sauce to a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 10-15 Minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and let it cool.
Store in a glass jar or squeeze bottle in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
